Fitbit Inspire 3 Health & Fitness Tracker

The Inspire 3 is Fitbit's most affordable tracker — the one that delivers solid health and fitness essentials without the complexity or cost of a smartwatch. 0.81″ color AMOLED touchscreen with always-on display option. Connected GPS (via phone). Optical heart rate sensor with 24/7 monitoring. SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring (overnight). Skin temperature variation tracking. Stress Management Score. 20+ exercise modes with SmartTrack auto-detection. Active Zone Minutes. Daily Readiness Score & Sleep Score (Premium). Irregular heart rhythm notifications. High/low heart rate alerts. Smart notifications for calls, texts, and apps. 5 ATM water resistance (50 m). Up to 10-day battery life. Bluetooth 5.0. Weight: ~0.7 oz (20 g) with band. S & L bands included. MPN: FB424BKBK-US (Midnight Zen). UPC: 810073611573. MSRP: $99.95.

Our Take: The Inspire 3 is the Fitbit you buy when you want the fundamentals done right at a price that's hard to argue with. For $99.95, you get 24/7 heart rate tracking, SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring, skin temperature variation, a Stress Management Score, and sleep tracking with detailed stages — all in a band so light you'll forget you're wearing it. The color AMOLED screen is a major upgrade from the Inspire 2's monochrome display, and 10-day battery life means you charge it once a week. What you don't get: built-in GPS (you'll need your phone for route tracking), ECG, EDA stress sensor, NFC payments, Google apps, or gym equipment heart rate streaming. Those features live on the Charge 6 ($159.95). The Inspire 3 also has a smaller 0.81″ screen — readable for quick glances at stats and notifications, but not great for detailed text or during bright outdoor workouts. The honest take: if your fitness routine is mostly walks, gym sessions you track by feel, and you value sleep insights, the Inspire 3 delivers real value. If you run, cycle outdoors, or want the deepest health data, the Charge 6 is worth the extra $60.

Fitbit Inspire 3 — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Inspire 3 worth it, or should I get the Charge 6?

The Inspire 3 ($99.95) is the right choice if you want a lightweight, affordable tracker for steps, sleep, heart rate, SpO2, and stress management without extra complexity. The Charge 6 ($159.95) adds built-in GPS, ECG, EDA stress sensor, Google apps (Maps, Wallet, YouTube Music), NFC payments, gym equipment HR streaming, and 40+ exercise modes (vs 20+). If you run outdoors, need GPS, or want advanced health sensors, spend the extra $60 on the Charge 6. If basic fitness and sleep tracking is all you need, the Inspire 3 is an excellent value.

Does the Fitbit Inspire 3 have GPS?

No built-in GPS. The Inspire 3 uses Connected GPS, which piggybacks on your phone's GPS via Bluetooth. You must carry your phone to map routes and track pace/distance during outdoor activities. If you want to leave your phone behind, the Charge 6, Versa 4, and Sense 2 all have built-in GPS.

Does the Inspire 3 have an ECG sensor?

No. The Inspire 3 does not have an ECG sensor. Only the Charge 6 and Sense 2 offer ECG in the current Fitbit lineup. The Inspire 3 does have irregular heart rhythm notifications via its optical heart rate sensor, but that is not the same as an on-demand ECG reading.

Can the Inspire 3 stream heart rate to gym equipment?

No. Heart rate streaming to gym equipment (Peloton, NordicTrack, Tonal, etc.) is exclusive to the Fitbit Charge 6. The Inspire 3 cannot broadcast heart rate to exercise machines.

Does the Inspire 3 have NFC or Google Wallet?

No. The Inspire 3 does not have NFC hardware, so it cannot support Google Wallet or any contactless payments. For tap-to-pay, you need the Charge 6, Versa 4, or Sense 2.

How long does the Inspire 3 battery last?

Up to 10 days on a single charge — the longest battery life of any current Fitbit. Using always-on display reduces this to about 3+ days. The Inspire 3 charges via a proprietary magnetic USB cradle. For comparison: Charge 6 lasts 7 days, Versa 4 and Sense 2 last 6 days each.

Is the Fitbit Inspire 3 waterproof?

The Inspire 3 is water resistant to 50 meters (5 ATM), suitable for swimming, showering, and rain. All four current Fitbit devices share this same 5 ATM rating. Fitbit recommends drying the band after water exposure for skin comfort. Not designed for scuba, hot tubs, or high-velocity water sports.

Does the Inspire 3 require Fitbit Premium?

The Inspire 3 works without Premium for core tracking — steps, heart rate, sleep stages, SpO2, exercise modes, notifications, and basic stats. Premium ($9.99/month or $79.99/year) unlocks Daily Readiness Score, Sleep Profile, advanced analytics, guided workouts, and wellness reports. The Inspire 3 includes 6 months of Premium free for new and returning users.

How many exercise modes does the Inspire 3 have?

The Inspire 3 launched with 20+ exercise modes, but a July 2024 firmware update expanded this to all 40+ Fitbit workout types including running, walking, cycling, swimming, HIIT, weights, yoga, and more. You can set 6 workout shortcuts on the device for quick access. SmartTrack auto-detects walks, runs, cycling, elliptical, rowing, and spinning.

The watch is pretty nice. He does what it says on the advertisement. I really don't have no grief situated other than the fight that after I purchased it, it went on sale $,20 cheaper with the Google 6, which I really wanted in the first place, but Anyway, I love the band because it's a different color.\n It's easy to take on and off and the face is a little smaller because I have big fingers, so it's kind of a little harder to navigate. I have to really take by tab. Well, all in all II like it I'm not in love with it, so that's why I only gave it a 4, but I like it, it is it's passable.

Hands down!

I absolutely love my Fitbit! The battery life is excellent and lasts much longer than I expected. One of my favorite features is that it vibrates to alert me when my heart rate drops dangerously low, which gives me extra peace of mind.
It's also been very helpful for my husband, who has sleep apnea. The Fitbit can detect changes in his breathing during sleep and gently vibrates to alert him when needed.
Overall, it's a fantastic device with great health-monitoring features. I highly recommend it and would definitely give it 5 stars!

So far it's excellent. It connects easily to the app, and the functions are appropriate for the size. I primarily purchased it as an alarm clock and we will see how it performs in that.

Perfect for basic tracking

Just the fitness tracker I've been looking for. Solid, basic tracker that monitors steps, sleep, heart rate, and a few more. The battery life is extraordinary! Been using it for a couple weeks and it's performed well.

Fitbit Inspire 3 only problem I had was reading the small numbers.I liked the small/feminine watc...

I liked the small more feminine watch face so I bought the Inspire 3 as my first activity & health tracker. However, with the small watch face the health monitoring numbers are so small that I cannot read them. I wear readers and still almost need a magnifying glass! Unfortunately, I plan to return the Inspire 3 and order a Fitbit Sense 2 with the larger watch face allowing for larger numbers.

Does this give a continuous HR on the watch face so I can monitor my HR while I exercise?

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

Yes. Fitbit Inspire 3 provides continuous heart-rate tracking during workouts. While exercising, the watch actively measures your heart rate and allows you to view your current heart rate and heart-rate zone on the screen. You can swipe through the exercise display to see live HR data, and certain clock faces also show heart rate for quick checks. Keep in mind the screen may turn off between glances to conserve battery, but heart-rate monitoring continues in the background throughout your activity.

D
Do y.n.B.c.o.c.y.u.w.

Do you need Bluetooth or can you connect with wifi

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

The Fitbit Inspire 3 connects to your phone using Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is required to sync your activity, heart rate, sleep, and other data to the Fitbit app.

M
Mel

How often does the heart rate update? Will this watch display continuous heartbeat?

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

The Fitbit Inspire 3 continuously tracks heart rate throughout the day, updating it automatically and frequently for a constant reading. However, data analysis and reporting to the app, especially for features like irregular rhythm notifications, are not real-time and occur during regular device syncing. During workouts, it also tracks heart rate, but the reading may have a slight lag compared to a chest strap monitor.

I’ve lost my charger, I think I left it in a hotel room. I’ve tried to order another one, but the ones I’ve purchased online don’t connect with my Fitbit. Can I purchase one from you??

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

I do apologize, as we do not carry the Fitbit accessories separately. You will need to go to the Fitbit website directly for the charging cable.

P
Paul

How do I reset my clock time?

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

To change the time on your Fitbit Inspire 3, you'll need to adjust the time zone settings within the Fitbit app. You can either enable automatic time zone detection or manually select your time zone. To do this, open the Fitbit app, go to your profile, then App Settings, and then Date, Time & Units. From there, you can adjust the time zone settings.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
-Open the Fitbit App: Launch the Fitbit app on your smartphone.
-Access Profile: Tap on your profile picture (or the account icon) in the top left corner of the Today screen.
-Navigate to App Settings: Find and tap on "App Settings".
-Adjust Time Zone: Tap on "Date, time & units", then tap on "Time Zone".
-Choose Time Zone: You have two options:
-Set Automatically: If you want your Fitbit to automatically update based on your phone's time zone, ensure this option is toggled on.
-Select Manually: If you want to choose a specific time zone, toggle off "Set Automatically" and then tap on the time zone field to select the correct one.
-Sync your Fitbit: After selecting your desired time zone, sync your Fitbit device with the app by pulling down on the Today screen to initiate a sync.

If the time is still incorrect after these steps, try logging out of the Fitbit app and then logging back in before syncing again
