Omron BP7255 Wireless 5 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

A mid-range connected blood pressure monitor with advanced averaging, irregular heartbeat count, Bluetooth, and 60-reading memory. The smart upgrade from the 3 Series without the AFib premium.

Our Take: The BP7255 is the practical mid-range choice in Omron’s lineup. At $69.99, you get advanced averaging (displays the average of your last 3 readings), an irregular heartbeat counter that shows the number of irregular beats detected (up to 3), and 60-reading memory — meaningful upgrades over the entry-level BP7150 (3 Series) at $57.83. You still get Bluetooth, Advanced Accuracy, and a D-ring cuff that fits 9″–17″ arms. What you don’t get: AFib screening, multi-user support, guest mode, or the ComFit cuff. If AFib detection matters to you, step up to the BP7360 (7 Series) at $87.43. If you want every feature Omron offers, the BP7465 (10 Series) at $99.99 is the complete package. But for straightforward daily monitoring with better data than the entry level, the BP7255 hits a good balance of features and price.

BP7255 — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the BP7255 (5 Series) and BP7360 (7 Series)?

The BP7360 ($87.43) adds AFib Screening Technology, a pre-formed Easy-Wrap ComFit cuff (vs D-ring), 120-reading memory for 2 users (vs 60 for 1 user), guest mode, and a 5-year warranty (vs 2 years). Both have advanced averaging and irregular heartbeat count. If AFib detection is important to you, the BP7360 is worth the $17.44 step up.

What is the difference between the BP7255 (5 Series) and BP7465 (10 Series)?

The BP7465 ($99.99) adds AFib Screening, TruRead auto-averaging, backlit dual display, ComFit cuff, 200-reading memory for 2 users, morning hypertension indicator, included AC adapter, and a 5-year warranty. The BP7255 ($69.99) has advanced averaging and irregular heartbeat count but no AFib screening, TruRead, or multi-user support, uses a D-ring cuff, and has a 2-year warranty.

What is the difference between the BP7255 (5 Series) and BP7150 (3 Series)?

The BP7255 ($69.99) adds advanced averaging (displays average of last 3 readings), irregular heartbeat count (up to 3, vs basic indicator on 3 Series), and 60-reading memory (vs 14). Both have Bluetooth, Advanced Accuracy, D-ring cuff, hypertension indicator, and body movement detection. The BP7255 is $12.16 more but stores 4× more readings and gives you more meaningful heartbeat data.

What replacement cuffs are compatible with the Omron BP7255?

The BP7255 uses a wide-range D-ring cuff. Compatible replacements: HEM-RML31-B (Wide Range, 9″–17″ / 22–42 cm, included with monitor) and HEM-CS24-B (Small, 7″–9″ / 17–22 cm). The BP7255 is NOT compatible with Easy-Wrap ComFit cuffs (HEM-FL31-B, used by BP7360 and BP7465) or the extra-large cuff (HEM-RXL31-B, BP9310T only).

Does the BP7255 support an AC adapter?

The BP7255 does NOT support an AC adapter. It runs on 4 AA batteries (included in the box) only. If you want AC adapter support, the BP7360 (7 Series) supports an optional AC adapter, and the BP7465 (10 Series) includes one in the box.

What is Advanced Averaging?

Advanced Averaging automatically displays the average of your last 3 readings taken within the past 10 minutes. This gives you a more reliable picture of your blood pressure than a single reading. Available on the BP7255 (5 Series), BP7360 (7 Series), and BP7465 (10 Series). Not available on the BP7150 (3 Series). Note: Advanced Averaging is different from TruRead, which automatically takes 3 consecutive readings in one session (10 Series only).

How many readings can the BP7255 store?

The BP7255 stores up to 60 readings for 1 user on the device. It is a single-user monitor — there are no separate profiles or guest mode. For unlimited storage, sync readings to the free OMRON connect app via Bluetooth. If you need multi-user support, the BP7360 (7 Series) stores 120 readings for 2 users and the BP7465 (10 Series) stores 200 readings for 2 users.

This is the third Omron we've purchased over the years to get up-to-date technology

This is the third Omron we've purchased over the years to get up-to-date technology. This time I asked my cardiologist advice. He suggested only Omron for home use. We've always been pleased. I began heart monitoring as a much younger man to track athletic fitness. At age 83 I now have other motivation as does my wife--hypertension etd.
