Garmin Xero™ A1i Pro Auto-Ranging Digital Bow Sight
The Xero A1i Pro is Garmin’s most advanced bow-mounted digital laser rangefinder — an auto-ranging sight with dual-color LED pins, micro-adjustable rails, automatic pin-stack calibration, quick-detach dovetail mount, Dynamic Level, Flight Apex, XD Mode, Laser Locate GPS, multiple arrow profiles, and shot dynamics. Range game up to 100 yards or reflective targets up to 300 yards with angle compensation. IPX7 waterproof, 1-year battery on 2 AAA lithium batteries (~25,000 ranges), 18.0 oz with mount. Available in right-hand and left-hand configurations.
Our Take: The Xero A1i Pro is the most capable bow sight ever made. It eliminates the two biggest sources of error in bowhunting — rangefinding and pin selection — by combining them into a single, silent, one-button action. The A1i Pro builds on the original Xero platform with micro-adjustable rails for dead-precise tuning, automatic pin-stack calibration that gets you sighted in from 20 to 80 yards in minutes, a quick-detach mount for travel, and Dynamic Level that shows cant information right next to your pin. Flight Apex shows the highest point of your arrow’s trajectory — critical for avoiding obstacles. The Laser Locate feature integrates with Garmin GPS devices to mark exactly where your target was. At $1,299.99, it’s the most expensive bow sight on the market. But for the most accurate, most feature-complete auto-ranging experience, nothing else comes close.
Why you’d choose this sight
- Auto-ranging to 100 yds game / 300 yds reflective Press the silent trigger — the laser rangefinder instantly measures angle-compensated distance and displays the exact LED pin.
- Dual-color LED pins — red & green, .007″ diameter Alternate pin colors at preset distances. Bright from sunrise to sunset. No physical pins obstructing your target view.
- Auto pin-stack calibration — sighted in within minutes Calibrate 20-yard pin, enter bow speed, draw length, arrow diameter. A1i Pro generates a full pin stack to max distance. Validate at 40+ yards.
- Micro-adjustable rails — elevation, windage & laser Precision knobs for dead-on adjustment. On-screen guided sight-in asks if you hit high/low and by how many inches.
- Quick-detach dovetail mount for travel Remove and reattach sight in seconds. Green alignment markings ensure repeatable positioning. Detachable trigger cable.
- Dynamic Level & Flight Apex visualization Dynamic Level shows cant right next to the pin with distance-based sensitivity. Flight Apex shows arrow’s highest trajectory point.
- Laser Locate™ with compatible Garmin GPS Marks GPS position of target when shot. Navigate to that spot with a Garmin handheld or wearable to find downed game.
- 1-year battery, IPX7 waterproof, 18 oz with mount Up to 25,000 ranges on 2 AAA lithium batteries. IPX7 for rain, snow, and harsh conditions.
Who this sight is perfect for
- Bowhunters who want the absolute best technology for consistent shot accuracy.
- Archers shooting multiple bows or arrow configurations who need fast profile switching and quick-detach.
- Hunters in variable terrain — tree stands, hillsides, ground blinds — where angle compensation and level matter most.
- Traveling hunters who need a sight that detaches and remounts to the exact same position.
- Serious archers who want auto-calibration for the fastest, most precise sight-in experience.
You may prefer a different Xero if…
- You don’t need dual-color pins, Laser Locate, or multiple profiles — the A1 ($799.99) covers essentials.
- You want Laser Locate and dual-color pins but not micro-adjustments or quick-detach — the A1i ($999.99) is $300 less.
- You shoot a crossbow — the X1i ($1,799.99) has 3.5x magnification for crossbow bolts.
- Your state prohibits electronic bow sights for hunting — always check regulations first.

Legal notice: Some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit the use of electronic bow sights and crossbow scopes for hunting. The Xero does not project visible light toward the target — the laser rangefinder uses infrared light. Always check your state's current hunting regulations before use.

Xero™ A1i Pro Auto-Ranging Digital Bow Sight — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the A1, A1i, and A1i Pro?
A1: red-only LED pins, no Laser Locate, no multi profiles, no shot dynamics ($799.99). A1i: adds dual-color pins, Laser Locate, multi profiles, shot dynamics ($999.99). A1i Pro: adds micro-adjustable rails, auto-cal, quick-detach, Dynamic Level, Flight Apex, XD Mode ($1,299.99).
Is the Xero A1i Pro legal for hunting?
Legality varies by state. Some restrict electronic sights or laser rangefinders on bows. The Xero uses invisible infrared light for ranging. Check your state’s regulations.
How do you sight in the A1i Pro?
Two methods: Manual (sight 20-yard pin, the sight estimates the rest) or Auto-cal (enter bow speed, draw length, arrow diameter, sight 20 yards, validate at 40+ yards). Most archers are done in 10–15 minutes.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 1 year / ~25,000 ranges on 2 AAA lithium batteries (included). 24-hour auto-shutoff conserves power. Alkaline/NiMH are not supported.
Can I use the A1i Pro on a crossbow?
No. The A1 series is for compound bows only. For crossbows, use the Xero X1i ($1,799.99) with 3.5x magnification.
What is Laser Locate?
GPS waypoint projection that marks where the target was when you shot. Pair with a compatible Garmin GPS device to navigate to that spot for game recovery.
What is Dynamic Level?
An in-view cant indicator that appears next to your pin. Sensitivity varies by distance — closer shots show less, longer shots show more — so you only see level information when it matters.
What is XD Mode?
Xtra Distance mode extends your max shooting range by 10–15 yards for practice. You slide the scope housing down for additional range. Practice only — too slow for hunting use.
