Customers praised this wrist blood pressure monitor as "easy to use" and "quick," with many noting it's "much nicer than the old wrap around the arm" models. Shoppers appreciated its compact design and accurate readings. However, some found it difficult to put on and read, with one customer noting readings ran high compared to arm monitors.

Poorly Designed

Difficult to put on wrist, difficult to read. All around a poor design. My model HEM-637 had none of these problems and worked great for years.

What does E5 mean as a reading

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

E5 is an error code, not a blood pressure reading. On the Omron BP6100 3 Series Wireless Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor, the "E5" message indicates that the device was unable to obtain an accurate measurement, typically because the cuff couldn't reliably detect a stable pulse during inflation. This is most commonly caused by movement or talking during the reading, an improperly positioned wrist cuff, the wrist not being held at heart level, or taking a measurement too soon after physical activity. To clear the E5 error, press the START/STOP button to turn the monitor off, then re-wrap the cuff snugly around your bare wrist about ½ inch above the wrist bone, sit upright in a chair with both feet flat on the floor, rest your elbow on a table so the cuff is level with your heart, and remain completely still and quiet for the duration of the measurement. Wait 2–3 minutes between attempts to allow your arteries to return to their resting state. If the E5 error continues to appear after following these steps, try installing two fresh AAA alkaline batteries (low battery power can interfere with the sensor) and make sure no other electrical devices, such as cell phones, are within 12 inches of the monitor. If the error still persists, the unit is within its 2-year limited warranty period, and you can contact Omron Healthcare Consumer Support directly at 1-800-634-4350 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM CST) for further assistance.
