Replacement Heart Rate Soft Strap for Polar H1, H7, H9 & H10 & Garmin HRM-Dual

A hypoallergenic, machine-washable replacement chest strap compatible with Polar H-series and Garmin HRM-Dual transmitters. Available in three sizes at $14.99 each — the most affordable fix for erratic heart rate readings.

Seller's Note: Erratic or spiking heart rate readings during a workout are almost always caused by a worn chest strap — not a failed sensor module. The conductive fabric that contacts your skin degrades from sweat, body oils, and washing over 8–12 months of regular use. At $14.99, replacing the strap is the right first step before spending $79+ on a new monitor. Snap your existing Polar or Garmin HRM-Dual module into this strap and you're back in business.

Why you'd choose this replacement strap
  • Wide multi-brand compatibility Works with Polar H1, H7, H9, H10, and WearLink transmitters, plus Garmin HRM-Dual, Nike Plus, and Wind transmitters — one strap fits most popular ECG monitors.
  • Hypoallergenic materials Latex-free fabric and nickel-free stainless steel snap connectors. Safe for athletes with latex sensitivities and common metal allergies.
  • Machine washable Detach your transmitter module and toss the strap in the washing machine. Regular washing removes sweat and skin oils that degrade conductivity and signal quality over time.
  • Soft, flexible fit Polyamide, polyurethane, and elastane blend stays in place during running, cycling, HIIT, and swimming without chafing or constant readjusting.
  • Three sizes — all $14.99 XS/S (22–33″), M/XXL (28–52″), and 3XL (42–77″) chest circumference. All sizes are the same price. Save 21% off the $18.95 MSRP.
  • Standard two-snap mount Two standard snap connectors accept Polar H-series, Garmin HRM-Dual, Nike Plus, and Wind transmitter modules. No tools, no adhesives — press and click.
  • Fix erratic readings for $14.99 Spiking to 220 bpm at warm-up? Dropping signal mid-run? 8 out of 10 times it's the strap, not the module. Replace the strap first — it's the right diagnostic step before buying a new $79+ sensor.
  • Sweat- and water-resistant Designed for use during sweaty workouts and water exposure. Transmitter modules vary by water rating — check your specific module's specifications for swimming use.
Who this replacement strap is perfect for
  • Polar H1, H7, H9, or H10 users whose strap has worn out or is giving erratic readings.
  • Garmin HRM-Dual users looking for an affordable replacement strap.
  • Athletes with latex sensitivities or nickel allergies needing a hypoallergenic option.
  • Anyone who wants to extend the life of their existing transmitter module instead of replacing the whole unit.
  • Users who want a backup strap on hand for training continuity.
This strap will NOT fit if…
  • You have a Garmin HRM-200, HRM-600, HRM-Pro, or HRM-Run — these use a different connector system.
  • You have a Polar OH1 or Polar Verity Sense — these are optical armbands that do not use a chest strap.
  • You have a Garmin HRM-Swim or HRM-Tri (older models with a proprietary snap pattern).

  • If you want OEM Polar branding on your replacement strap, look for a Polar strap directly.
  • If your module is damaged or lost, or you want HRV, session recording, or 30m swim depth, choose the Polar H10.
  • If you want 3 simultaneous Bluetooth connections, ANT+, and Garmin ecosystem compatibility, choose the Garmin HRM-Dual.

Summary

At $14.99 for all three sizes — with hypoallergenic materials, a machine-washable design, and broad multi-brand compatibility — it's the smartest first step when readings go wrong. Measure your chest before ordering and size up when between sizes.

Cheap replica strap (but works)

This is not the original Polar strap, it's cheap one that can found on aliexpress for $3. But it works, any such type of chest band will work with polar hrms. The seller should write on the description that it's not original. I was misled by description and made a purchase. Couldnt return the strap, return date expired.

Great replacement for Polar H10 band

Try this band if your monitor is not tracking correctly!Pros: does the job for less moneyCons: may require adjustment mid-training, fastens differently (not a con for me)It’s a great band for less than half the cost of a Polar band. Since it seems the Polar bands only last for 2 years or so, I will be happy if I get that much or longer out of this HM USA band.I bought this as a replacement since my Polar bands were dropping my heart rate. I would be out of breath, feeling like I was in the 145-155 range, and my Polar Beat app would show something in the 50s, sometimes the 70s. I tried all of the workarounds to confirm the H10 wasn’t the issue. One Polar band seemed to be less capricious than the other; so, I checked reviews and found out others have had the same issue with Polar bands failing. This replacement worked right out of the box just fine.I will say the Polar bands do seem to stay in place a bit better than the HM USA band. I use mine for strength training, kettlebells, and Concept 2 machines; so, I can’t speak to jogging/running, but I have needed to adjust mine especially if you’re using lats as it seems to push the band lower. It also attaches with a hook rather than a clip (see side by side comparison with Polar) that has worked just fine so far. Connecting the Polar H10 is a bit snugger than the Polar band, but it fits fine in my experience, contrary to some other reviews.

Lower quality than OEM

The price was good, but quality reflected the lower price. The top strap in the photo is an OEM Polar strap from April of 2018 (3 years old). The bottom strap is from about 8 months ago. You can see where the inner rubber portion is peeling up at the ends and there are two tears in the rubber between where the two electrode snaps are. My OEM strap started to separate between the rubber and fabric around the 2-year mark, which I was able to at least temporarily fix with some super glue. The Heart Rate Monitor USA one did it around 8 months with the same level of care (gentle rinse with water after each use and air-dry). The rubber is also significantly thinner so if you aren't careful when removing the transmitter you will tear the rubber on the backside. Admittedly that was my fault, but I was surprised how fragile it was.

OTF Core replacement strap

This is, I believe, the 2nd strap I have purchased from this vendor. The first one was a replacement strap for my partner's OTF Core strap. (Which seems to work just fine. The most recent was for myself. Unfortunately, the design of the strap appears to have changed very slightly. The previous strap (#2 in the attached photos) had slightly beveled rubber surrounding the snap where you connect your pod. The new one (#3 in the attached photos) has very high, vertical rubber ring surrounding the snap. (See attached photos for detail.) I don't know if the vendor is using a new supplier, or if the manufacturing tolerances have changed. Either way, this means that the OTF heart-rate monitoring pod does not stay snapped-in to the strap. A minor annoyance to be sure. There is a chance that over time the rubber will eventually wear down to the point where it no longer interferes with the pod connection. If so, I will revise my review.

This will NOT fit Polar heart rate sensors.

Mea Culpa - I bought this item with the mistaken belief that it's a genuine Polar product. It isn't. And it may well fit other products listed perfectly. But this product will not fit Polar brand model H1 heart rate sensors, and the pictures show why. On the picture showing two straps, the upper is my old genuine Polar strap, and the lower is the item for sale here. The picture of this item on this listing shows the snaps exactly as on my Polar. But In fact, the snaps have the large, tapered support shown on the lower strap in my picture. The pic of the sensor back shows the cavities for the snaps are not tapered. And while each snap of this item will pop onto the sensor individually, the snap spacing turns out to be just a hair shy of allowing both snaps to be attached at the same time. Too bad, because the item appears to be top quality. I'm returning it.

Worked perfectly as a replacement for Polar H1 strap

Worked perfectly as a replacement strap for my super old Polar FT4 watch / H1 monitor setup. Delighted I can keep using it after the elastic on the original strap gave out. Would definitely order again.

Good fit. Works well. I bought a replacement from a different company before. I had to force the monitor into the strap. With that one. This one was a perfect fit

A good solution for Polars too small chest strap

Without this third party strap my $100 H10 would be worthless because the larges strap available from amazon was significantly too small. So I'm thankfull for Heartrate USA for selling these. The only issue I have is that the strap is a little less quality than the undersized strap that polar provides. For the price I don't care. If this one wears out I'll be back to Heartrate USA for another one!

The product came in nice and fast, however, it did not fix my heart monitor. Not their fault, just the monitor was too old.

Not quite a full 'replacement.'

The replacement seems a big flimsy compared to the original from Polar. It works just fine, but I don't know who long it will hold up.

Working well so far.

So far, I am very pleased with this purchase. It fits and performs well. I rinse it after each ride. After ten months and about 2,700 miles of bike rides, I have seen no wear.
