The Moist-Sure Covers are specifically made to absorb atmospheric moisture from the air. The cover is one of the key components that allows the Thermophore to produce moisture without having to add water. The moisture comes from the cover when it is heated.

Make sure the cover is allowed to dry out and absorb moisture before re-using. In order to prolong the life of the cover, hand wash in tepid water and mild soap then drip dry. It is great to have an additional cover in the house for everyone using the heating pad.


This fleece cover is praised for being "soft and comfortable" and providing effective moist heat therapy. Customers said it "fits perfectly" and many have used it for decades. However, some noted the fleece doesn't produce moist heat as well as flannel versions, and sizing issues exist with covers being too short for some pads.

Perfect replacement cover

No Moist Heat

Had a flannel cover previously. This fleece one doesn’t seem to help produce moist heat like the flannel one did. It still eventually helps my back muscle, but seems to take longer. Was unable to find a flannel replacement for my model.

Length shortage

Love the softness of the cover, but it does not cover the entire length of the heating pad. I have bought Thermophore heating pads for over 10 years. They come with a cover and I have never received one too short. This purchase of just the covers is not correct size. I even washed in hand was cycle and hung dry. Too short coming out of package. Cost was to high especially when it doesn't cover pad fully.
