Customers praised this moist heat hand muff for arthritis relief, saying "it gets really hot" and "works great" for hand pain. The Velcro design allows wrapping around hands, wrists, knees, and calves. While most loved the intense heat, some found the temperature fluctuation and single heat setting challenging. Shoppers appreciated the quality construction.

Great little heating pad.

Used to own one but couldn’t remember the brand name. After I figured it out. I realized they made one for hands like a muff. That’s what I wanted it for , for arthritic hand pain relief. It works great , it gets really hot. And is high quality.

It's good

I like the heat that it kicks off but it get really hot then it cools down to a medium heat. And that is when it's on the hottest setting. I wish it would stay at one tempture the whole time that's it's on. I do use it often and it does help with artritis pain in my hands.

My Dad loves it!

Got this as gift for my Dad who lives with us in our basement. It's got lots of windows, a full kitchen and bath - but is naturally cold and being 90, he is always cold. He loves this. There were many others to choose from, but were cheap. This item is well made and works as intended. Would recommend.

Best Heating Pad I've Owned!

I had unfortunately broken my wrist, so the hard part was after the cast came off with stiffness and inability to flex my wrist. I start my warm up with this heating pad using the Velcro wrapped around my arm, after I then do stretching exercises. This perfectly fit the bill for me. It runs on a twenty minute cycle and if I want to continue for longer time, I just hit the power button again. On high it gets extremely hot, which was exactly what I needed to begin my physical therapy.

I can't highly recommend this enough. It's an excellent product, and a great retail seller.

Not sure how it works but...

It does and it is awesome! I ordered 2, one for my shattered wrist and gave one to a friend with arthritic fingers. Neither one of us will ever be without one! Superb American made product!

Best heating pad ever!

First of all, I am a thermophore fan. No other heating pad gets hot enough or provides the moisture without having to add water. And the moist heat certainly penetrates muscles so that you can handle the heat more than dry heat.

But the ingenious design of the muff has me sold. No other heating pad that I have found, other than the petite thermophore, it's as easy to use on my arms. The mop has some kind of insulation material on the outside of it, which keeps the heat in and when I take my arms out after the 25-minute session, they are damp! No need to wonder if the moisture absorbing cover is working.

The poster that complain that they had to use the velcro themselves to wrap the muffler around their arms I don't really understand. You only have to do it once. I slip my arm in and out and haven't adjusted it since the day I first got it. The reason that has velcro is not everybody has the same size hands or arms or wants to use this in the same way. It would also be great on a knee, which wouldn't work if it had a small circumference.

Just right!

This the second one I have purchased for my father...one for home, one for cabin. He frequently gets muscle cramps in his hands and this works perfectly for him. It heats up quickly and relieves those cramps. The Velcro wraps are great for making a muff to be able to quickly get your hands totally wrapped up in heat. Also great for wrapping around calves and knees. Great product!

Muff model 174

Disappointed as i specifically asked the rep on the phone if it was like a cuff(round) that you can slide your hands/wrists into or knee. The only difference from the standard unit (14x14) is the velcro straps on the cover which are adjustable but YOU must roll the pad and secure with straps which I found to be somewhat difficult as I use it for both hands together.

I have a muff thermophore and love it. I purchased this for my daughter

Everyone with Fibromyalgia or arthritis should have a set of Thermophore heating pads. I sleep with my neck pad and find it is the only way I can nod off these days.

Review of Thermophore Pad Moist Heat

I am shipping it back. It only has on temperature and it gets way to hot!. I thought you could use it with water so you can get the moist heat but it is not. the little light on the machine doesn't do anything but goes up and down for what I have no clue why it does that. I am very un-happy with this.

How is this pad charged? Where does one plug the cord into, an ordinary wall socket?

HeartRateMonitorsUSA.com

Hi,
Great question, this (and all Thermphore Heating Pads) us a standard US 2 prong plug.
