Why Thermophore?

To make the Thermophore Heating Pads more efficient, we have positioned weights to cause the Thermophore® packs to conform to body contours. This reduces air spaces between the Thermophore® hot pack and body, so more heat is transmitted to the body tissues. Ordinary stiff plastic heating pads leave air pockets, which result in an uneven transfer of heat.

Why not just buy an ordinary heating pad, instead of a Thermophore?

An ordinary heating pad is not hot enough to provide the same level of comfort and pain relief as the Thermophore®. Thermophore® Heat Packs are hot fomentation products and are viewed as a medical device by medical professionals.

An ordinary heating pad will keep you warm and help you begin to relax, but it will not penetrate deeply into tissue and will not be as effective as a Thermophore® Pack. Moist heat tends to penetrate better because the water molds to the body and provides better heat transfer to the body. Moist heat has been shown to penetrate 27 times better than dry heat.

This moist heat pad provides effective pain relief for arthritis, back pain, and muscle soreness. Excellent Heating Pad!

This is an excellent heating pad! There's no comparison to the cheap drug store heating pads that don't get warm. This pad is made of high quality materials and gets nice and warm, as a heating pad should. The moist heat aspect is a nice plus. Definitely worth paying a bit more to get a high quality product.

It Works!

First heating pad that actually gets too hot on the highest setting. On low or medium it does wonders for my lower back. Hard to tell that it is moist heat but, regardless, best heating pad I've ever owned.

I ordered the large size and then decided to purchase the smaller one for a trip. Heats up fast. The timer is far superior to the lever the older units had. Set it and forget it!!! Heats up fast.

I highly recommend this product

I highly recommend this product because it is very efficient. If I had to do it over again I would purchase the 27 inch long one. I preferred the automatic timer so there is no need to hold the button. I purchased another pad for a friend who suffers from fibromyalgia and arthritis.

Pad barely got briefly warm, and has NO therapeutic value. Great reviews seem bogus, encouraging costly mistake. CS was excellent though.

I love it!! Sometimes I miss the big On my way! Which I had before but this one is easier to move around ? Basically I sleep on my back on it. I find the highest heat s too hot so I used the medium heat and occasionally I use it on low but not very often. I enjoy that I don't have to hold the lever down as I did on my old one.

The Thermophore heats up quickly. Unlike some other brands that do not get hot enough even on the high setting, I usually use the medium setting on after work-out leg soreness and chronic shoulder soreness. I’m 69 years old, so the automatic shutoff feature is a plus!

Need help relaxing?

Thermopore Heating Pad

This is the second I have owned with the timer switch, I like this feature so you don't have to constantly hold the switch. Also the 3 different heat settings are very helpful as well as the automatic shut off after 20 or so minutes. I have arthritis so I use it regularly.

More user friendly

I have used a Thermaphore Heating Pad for my back since the 80's. The new controlled timer is really helpful. Also the new mechanism maintains a constant temperature, instead of the marked fluctuations one had with the hand held control. I wish there was a setting between 2 and 3, which I would consider very comfortable. The 14X14 size is fine for a small person. I am very pleased with this purchase.
