Estimated Delivery by: --
Garmin fēnix® 9 Pro Premium Multisport GPS Smartwatch, 43 mm / 47 mm / 51 mm, AMOLED or Solar
The first fēnix with a full titanium case. Nano-molded titanium body, sapphire lens, an AMOLED display up to 3,000 nits, a three-color LED flashlight, 64 GB of storage, multi-band GNSS with SatIQ, 10 ATM with a 40 m dive rating, and up to 31 days of battery. Also available with an MIP solar display that reaches 57 days. Twelve configurations, from $1,099.99.
Our Take
The fēnix 9 Pro is the one that got the new hardware. Garmin built the case from the ground up with a nano-molding process that bonds titanium and polymer at the molecular level, and the payoff is a full titanium body that is actually thinner than what came before. The 47 mm sits at 13.8 mm, 16% thinner than the fēnix 8 Pro, and the 43 mm is 13.3 mm, thinner than the 43 mm fēnix 8. On top of that you get a display rated up to 3,000 nits, the first 1.5-inch panel Garmin has put on a watch at 51 mm, and a green flashlight mode for preserving night vision.
Everything else is shared with the standard fēnix 9: the same Elevate Gen 5 sensor, the same 64 GB, the same rebuilt map engine, the same stamina curve, Garmin Epic, indoor rowing physiology, and expanded rucking. So the $100 step up from the base model buys case material, brightness, and the green light. Whether that is worth it depends on how much the titanium and the screen matter to you, and at 51 mm it also buys a meaningfully bigger display.
fēnix 9 Pro versus fēnix 9 versus fēnix 9 Pro inReach
All three tiers run identical software, carry the same Elevate Gen 5 sensor, hold 64 GB, and share the same 10 ATM rating and 40 m dive rating. Only the case, the screen, and the radios differ.

AMOLED or Solar: the real trade-off
Solar is offered on the 47 mm and 51 mm only, and it is a different display technology, not an add-on. You gain a great deal of runtime and lose resolution, brightness, and thinness. Everything else, including the speaker, microphone, sensors, storage, and software, is identical.

Garmin fēnix 9 Pro: Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the fēnix 9 Pro and the standard fēnix 9?
The Pro adds a full titanium case built with a nano-molding process, a display rated up to 3,000 nits instead of roughly 2,000, a green flashlight mode alongside white and red, a larger 1.5-inch display on the 51 mm size, and the option of solar charging. The standard fēnix 9 uses the fēnix 8 chassis, a fiber-reinforced polymer body with a titanium rear cover and bezel. Both run identical software, both hold 64 GB, and both carry the same sensors, 10 ATM rating, and 40 m dive rating. The Pro starts at $1,099.99 against $999.99.
Does this fēnix 9 Pro have inReach satellite messaging?
No. The configurations on this page are the fēnix 9 Pro without inReach. LTE, two-way satellite messaging, SOS, satellite weather, and Garmin Locate are exclusive to the fēnix 9 Pro inReach models and require an active inReach subscription. This watch supports assistance alerts, incident detection, and LiveTrack through a paired smartphone.
Should I buy the AMOLED or the Solar version?
Choose AMOLED unless charging access is a genuine constraint. Solar buys a lot of runtime, up to 34 days in smartwatch mode at 47 mm and 57 days at 51 mm with sun exposure, but it uses a memory-in-pixel display at 260 x 260 or 280 x 280 rather than AMOLED at 454 x 454 or 466 x 466. Solar models are also 2 mm thicker at 47 mm and heavier. Everything else, including sensors, storage, speaker, microphone, and software, is identical.
Which fēnix 9 Pro size should I buy?
The 47 mm is the balanced choice at 78 g, 13.8 mm thick, a 1.4-inch display, and up to 18 days of smartwatch battery. The 43 mm is the lightest at 62 g and the thinnest at 13.3 mm, with up to 10 days. The 51 mm gets the largest display Garmin makes, a 1.5-inch 466 x 466 panel, and up to 31 days, at 99 g. Solar is available only at 47 mm and 51 mm.
Is the titanium case actually thinner?
Yes. Garmin's nano-molding process bonds titanium and polymer at the molecular level, which let it make the metal harder and thinner. The 47 mm Pro is 13.8 mm, 16% thinner than the 16 mm fēnix 8 Pro and identical to the 47 mm fēnix 8. The 43 mm Pro is 13.3 mm, half a millimeter thinner than the 43 mm fēnix 8.
What is Garmin Epic?
Garmin Epic is a free Garmin Connect feature launched with this generation that groups activities recorded over days, weeks, or months into one story, with maps, daily notes, photos, cumulative distance, calories, sleep, recovery, and HRV status. An Epic can span up to 92 days, activities can be added after the fact, and it can be started with a course attached so a route can be navigated across multiple days.
What are stamina curve and stamina zones?
They build on real-time stamina. The stamina curve estimates how long you can sustain different effort levels, pace for running or power for cycling, using your full training history. Stamina zones split effort into five personalized ranges from easy to maximum, each with an estimated endurance time, and the boundaries move as your fitness changes. A dedicated watch screen shows current stamina, potential stamina, your active zone, and whether you are depleting faster than you are recharging.
Can I dive with the fēnix 9 Pro?
Yes. Every fēnix 9 Pro is rated 10 ATM with a 40-meter dive rating to EN13319, with single-gas scuba, apnea, and snorkel profiles, the Bühlmann ZHL-16C decompression model, and Nitrox support. It includes dive planning for no-decompression limit and maximum depth, plus surface interval, no-fly time, tissue load, and oxygen toxicity tracking. Garmin advises against high-pressure washing, which can damage the depth sensor, and against removing the exterior guard between the right-side buttons, which protects the barometer.
Do I need a chest strap?
No. The watch produces running dynamics and running power from the wrist. Two metrics, running economy and step speed loss, require the HRM 600 chest strap sold separately. Indoor rowing physiology requires a power meter-equipped rowing machine.
Will my existing QuickFit bands and sensors work?
Yes. The fēnix 9 Pro uses standard QuickFit bands, 20 mm on the 43 mm, 22 mm on the 47 mm, and 26 mm on the 51 mm. It pairs with the HRM 600, HRM-Pro Plus, Varia radar and lights, Index scales, cycling power meters, smart trainers, and other ANT+ or Bluetooth accessories, using the same free Garmin Connect account. New ComfortFit fabric bands use the same QuickFit connector.
