Polar Electro controls strictly its own operations and pays attention to the environmental aspects and impacts of its products throughout the product life cycle from the development and manufacturing to the deliveries and customer care. Environmental issues are included into the process as early as in the new project development check-lists and material supplier selection criteria. Polar Electro manufactures all products in its own factories and the main suppliers are in close distance in order to minimize the transportation. Also the supply chain from the key material suppliers to the retailers is carefully managed by Polar Electro to ensure that the environmental aspects are taken into account.
Polar Electro continuously develops materials and production processes in order to reduce scrap and waste. This also ensures that the products are manufactured of materials which are safe for the people and the environment. Recycling of the materials, on its part, is taken care by approved recycling companies and communities, and consumers can return their old Polar products to any repair center of Polar Electro or retailer in the EU.
Polar Electro complies with all legal and regulatory requirements valid in the operated countries (e.g. RoHS, WEEE, China RoHS, Packing, Battery & Accumulator and REACH environmental directives). Polar Electro voluntarily declares the environmental product attributes according to the international ECMA-370 standard.
