Being an Eagles fan all my life I come to expect some sort of letdown to a post season run. I think in the back of any Philadelphia sports fan mind, there is a lifetime of disappointment and disbelief when it comes to watching the Eagles or any other Philly Sports team. You just cannot shake it. To actually witness a Philadelphia win in a Super Bowl seems more surreal and something I might not get to experience in my lifetime, since 46 years have slipped by and I was running out of time.
Fast Forward to the 2017 Season, I was excited to watch the Eagles dominate their division and get a feeling like this was the year they could actually pull it off, win the Lombardi trophy. Then it happened, Carson Wentz out for the season, the Philadelphia letdown was coming full steam, the perfect season coming to end with no ring, no trophy. I knew Nick Foles was a good quarterback, I felt the team could get there with him, but to be honest, after watching him play against the the Raiders and Dallas, I was bit concerned.
