Memorial Day Kicks off the Summer Season
Memorial Day is almost upon us and that means “Summer” season is kicking off. Summer time means vacation time! But don’t let going on vacation put a stop to your physical conditioning routines. Where ever your travels take you, from the beaches on either coast, to exploring our countries national parks and monuments you can always fit your daily exercise routines into your daily vacation planner.
No matter where you go on vacation you can count on walking being a big part of it. Make sure you pack your Omron HJ-203 Pocket Pedometer with Activity Tracker with you so that you can measure not only how many steps you have walked, while you are taking in the sights but also how many calories you have burned doing it. This way you can feel better about yourself when you have that hot dog while you take in the sites. One hot dog is equal to about 150 calories, which would take about 30 minutes of walking at a pace of 3-4 mi. per hour to burn off.
Enjoying the night life while on vacation can actually aid you in keeping yourself in great physical shape. When your visiting those “Must See” points of interest on your vacationing itinerary, or visiting the areas beach front night spots, let yourself get caught up in the moment and hit the dance floor and show off your favorite moves.
This is a great way to get your body moving while you’re having fun burning off those extra calories you just consumed by having your favorite cocktail. 30 minutes of active dancing will take care of that one drink. You can find out how much you’ve burned up by glancing at your Fitbit Charge Activity monitor. This way you won’t need to dance the night away,,, that is, unless you want to.
So enjoy this Memorial Day Holiday weekend and get yourself geared up for this year’s Sumer Vacation Season!
