Operation:
Step 1 - to operate properly, pedometer case must be closed.
Step 2 - press the CLEAR button for 2 seconds. The display will show all 0000.
Step 3 - begin exercising. This pedometer will track your steps taken. Your target should be to take 10,000 steps each day.
Positioning:
Clip your pedometer on to your belt or waistband. It should be located between your belly button and side. It also should be level, not at an angle.
Changing the battery:
Insert a coin in the space located in the hinge of the pedometer. Twist the coin to pop open the case.
Remove the battery, replace with a new LR1130 battery, snap case closed.
Words of caution:
Do not drop it. We suggest purchasing a safety leash to give it extra protection (see accessories above).
Do not get the pedometer wet.
Trouble shooting:
Problem 1- not all your steps are being detected.
Possible Solution 1- check the mounting of the pedometer. It should be straight and secure on your waistband or belt. It should be placed between your navel and your side (closer to the front center).
Problem 2- having difficulty reading the display .
Possible Solution 2- this may be from either low battery, low ambient temperature, high temperatures or direct sunlight. Try replacing the battery, or bringing to a mild temperature, or shielding it from the direct sun.
