INSTRUCTIONS for PE-105

GETTING STARTED
Remove the battery tab to activate your pedometer.
DETERMINING YOUR PERSONAL STRIDE
Before setting up your pedometer, find a starting point on the ground and mark it; then take ten steps and mark the point at which your final step lands. Measure the distance between your starting and finishing points in either inches or centimeters (your preference). This number will be your stride amount (to be entered in set-up).
SETTING UP YOUR PEDOMETER
Press the
MODE button down until you see the time displayed. Now press the
MODE button down again for five seconds. This activates your set-up of preferences.
SETTING THE TIME
12 or 24 HOUR FORMAT
Upon removing the battery tab to activate your pedometer, the pedometer will automatically display a solid 0 and the word Step in the top right corner. Press the
MODE button four times to scroll through the display from Steps to the "Time" display, which will automatically be set to A 12:00.
Press and hold the
MODE button for about five seconds, upon doing so the display will show a blinking 12 and a solid Hr. At this point you will determine which format you would like the time displayed in; either standard 12 Hours (AM/PM) format or 24 Hour format.
Press the
DOWN or
UP/CLEAR button once to change the display from a blinking 12 to a blinking 24. When desired format is displayed, press the
MODE button to enter this selection.
SETTING THE TIME
HOURS AND MINUTES
The pedometer will now displaying a blinking 12 and a solid 00

Use the
DOWN or
UP/CLEAR button to change the HOUR to match the appropriate hour of the day, then press the
MODE button once to enter your selection.
The pedometer will now display the appropriate HOUR and a blinking minutes 00 indicates the minutes are ready to be changed.
Use the
DOWN or
UP/CLEAR button to change the MINUTES to match the appropriate minutes of the day, then press the
MODE button once to enter your selection.
The pedometer will now display the appropriate MINUTES and a blinking weight setting indicates it is ready be changed (see ENTERING YOUR PERSONAL WEIGHT below).
Be aware of the "A" for AM, or the "P" for PM when setting your HOUR, since the pedometer automatically resets the Steps, Distance and Kilocalories at midnight.
ENTERING YOUR PERSONAL WEIGHT
If Kg (kilograms) are the desired unit measurement (range 10 to 200 kg), enter your weight and then press the
MODE button to set.
If Lb (pounds) are the desired unit measurement (range 22 to 420 lb), enter your weight and then press the
DOWN buttion until Lb appears. Press the
MODE button to set.

Now the number will blink to indicate it is ready to enter your weight. Press the
DOWN or
UP/CLEAR buttion until desired weight appears. Press the
MODE button to set.
ENTERING YOUR PERSONAL STRIDE
Now the number will blink to indicate it is ready to enter your stride amount (see DETERMINING YOUR PERSONAL STRIDE above). Press the
DOWN or
UP/CLEAR buttion until desired stride number appears. Press the
MODE button to set.

If you selected the Kg in the Weight area, it automatically selects Cm (centimeters) unit measurement (range 10 to 200 cm).
If you selected the Lb in the Weight area, it automatically selects In (inches) unit measurement (range 4 to 80 in).
SETTING UP STEP GOALS
Displays

Press the
UP/CLEAR buttion until desired target step number appears (this button will increase the amount by hundreds until you reach one thousand, after which point it will increase by thousands. Or press the
DOWN buttion if wanting to decrease the amount by thousands. Press the
MODE button to set.
Once you reach the Target Goal, an alert beep will inform you of your acheivement. Press the
DOWN button to silence alert.
Your step amount will continue counting after you have acheived goal. Example: Goal 100 steps - alerts you of goal - keep walking - starts at 101 steps.
Note: The Surgeon General recommends having at least 30 minutes of activity a day, the equivalent of this is about 10,000 steps a day.
Your pedometer is now ready for use.
VIEWING YOUR TOTALS
Pressing your
MODE button will display your current Steps, Distance, Calories, Exercise Time and Time of Day.
VIEWING RECORDED DATA (for 7 days)
Records data totals, of each mode, for up to 7 days in Memory. Will reset to 1 day after 7 days of totals.
Press
MEMORY button to access daily totals of Steps. Keep pressing the
MEMORY button to view up to 7 days memory of Steps.
Press
MODE button to advance to Distance mode.
Press
MEMORY button to access daily totals of Distance. Keep pressing the
MEMORY button to view up to 7 days memory of Distance.
Press
MODE button to advance to Calories (Kcal) mode.
Press
MEMORY button to access daily totals of Calories Burned. Keep pressing the
MEMORY button to view up to 7 days memory of Calories Burned.
To delete days, select day to delete, then press the
UP/CLEAR button to delete.
BUTTON DESCRIPTIONS
MODE BUTTON
Pressing the mode button allows you to scroll through data such as Steps, Distance, Calories Burned, Exercise Time and Time)
MEMORY BUTTON
Displays your recorded Distance, Calories Burned and Step amounts from the previous seven days.
DOWN BUTTON
Scrolls through amounts for setting up data such as Time, Weight and Stride.
UP/CLEAR BUTTON
Scrolls through amounts for setting up data such as Time, Weight and Stride.
UP/CLEAR BUTTON
Scrolls through amounts for setting up data such as Time, Weight and Stride. It is also used to CLEAR data for resetting amounts.

CHANGING SETTINGS
If at any point in time you need to change your personal settings, due to change in weight or personal step goals, a dead battery or daylights savings, simply go through the set up process pressing the
MODE button to bypass any field that you do not wish to change.
TO CHANGE BATTERY
This pedometer indicates when the battery is getting low.

Close the protective cover of the pedometer. At the pedometer's hinge, there is a small slot, marked "BATTERY". Insert a small coin and open pedometer. Gently slip out old battery, insert new CR2032 battery, close case. You are ready to go.
